One customer wondered if his X431 PAD VII Tablet will recognize SmartLink via Bluetooth. He tried connection via WiFi and connection and diagnosis works with no problem. In user manual, it said tablet and VCI can be paired via Bluetooth.
Here is the Answer:
*Any change in default setting is not recommended, try at your own risk
Wi-Fi connection is preferred in default setting.
To pair X431 PAD V/ X431 PAD VII/ X431 EV MAX with SmartLink,
Go to “User Info”.
Select “My VCI” eight times.
A new menu about Diagnostic Connector Management will pop up.
Select new menu and change WiFi into Bluetooth.
