LAUNCH X431 ECU & TCU Programmer successfully reads and transfers data from a Chevrolet Lacetti Bosch HV240 module in BENCH mode.
In this procedure, the original module’s EEPROM and FLASH data are backed up separately and then written to a second-hand replacement module. This allows the donor module to be programmed with the original module data.
Bosch HV240 Module Cloning Procedure
1. Connect the X431 ECU Programmer
Connect the LAUNCH X431 ECU Programmer to a PC using a USB cable.
2. Update the ECU Clone Software
Launch the X-431 ECU Clone software and update it to V10.70.
3. Search for the HV240 Module
Enter HV240 in the search box to find the corresponding:
Chevrolet Lacetti HV240

4. Select BENCH Mode
Select BENCH as the connection method.

5. Check the Wiring Diagram
Open the connection diagram and check the required direct connection points before connecting the module.

6. Connect the Original HV240 Module
Connect LAUNCH X431 ECU Programmer to the original Bosch HV240 module according to the wiring diagram.

Also connect the required power supply to the device.
7. Read and Save the Original Data
Connect to the original ECU and perform the following operations:
Read the original EEPROM data
Save the EEPROM data
Read the original FLASH data
Save the FLASH data
Both EEPROM and FLASH data are read and saved successfully.

8. Connect the Donor Module
Disconnect the original Bosch HV240 module.
Then connect the LAUNCH X431 ECU Programmer to the second-hand replacement module following the same BENCH connection procedure.
9. Back Up the Donor Module Data
Perform the ECU connection and back up the donor module’s
- EEPROM data
- FLASH data
The connection and backup operations are completed successfully.

10. Write the Original Data to the Donor Module
Load the EEPROM and FLASH files saved from the original HV240 module.
Write the original EEPROM and FLASH data into the second-hand module.
The data is written successfully, completing the Bosch HV240 module cloning/data transfer procedure with X-431 ECU Programmer.
