This guide mainly shows how to activate the software subscription for Launch X431 X-Prog3 PC Adapter and X431 ECU & TCU Programmer.
X431 X-Prog3 with PC Adapter offers the same functions as the Launch X431 ECU Programmer.
Both devices include one year of free software updates. Once the free subscription expires, you must purchase an additional one-year subscription to continue downloading new updates.

One-Year Update Activation Process
1. After completing your order, submit the serial number of your LAUNCH X431 tool to us.
2. We will open one-year update authorization and provide you with an 8-digit activation code.
3. Activation is completed online within 1-2 working days – no shipping required.
4. Once you receive the activation code, open X-PROG3 PC Adapter software or X-431 ECU & TCU Programmer software. You will see the activation interface.
5. Enter the serial number and activation code, then click “Activate” to complete the process.
