FCA SGW unlocking on Launch X431 devices is region-dependent: users in North America authenticate directly via AutoAuth, while users in Europe and other regions must first obtain an FCA SGW license through the device Mall before activation.
For Launch X431 tablets (10-inch and above) with Smartlink 2.0 VCI, including:
- Launch X431 PAD IX (9)
- Launch X431 PAD VII Elite
- Launch X431 PAD V Elite
- Launch X431 Pro5 Smartlink
- Launch X431 PRO3S+ Elite
- Launch X431 PRO3 V+ Elite

Select and purchase the FCA SGW license (US$329 valid for one year; renewal required after expiration).

For X431 scanners with Smartlink VCI, you can buy either:
A standalone FCA/Renault SGW annual subscription, or
An SGW software package (available in the Mall)

Important Notes:
8-inch X431 tablets using a DBscar VII (or any lower-spec interface) are not eligible to purchase the standalone FCA SGW license.
If your device does not support purchasing individual software modules, you must obtain the SGW Function License bundle (US$1,151), which covers Renault SGW, VAG SFD, FCA SGW, and Mercedes-Benz SGW unlocking.
