Autel devices can add new keys to Volkswagen instrument clusters (such as a 2013 VW Jetta flip key) using a pogo pin without reading data directly from the chip. Can the Launch X431 IMMO Plus/IMMO Elite perform the same operation?
A X431shop.de engineer confirmed that the Launch X431 IMMO Plus/Elite is indeed equipped with a pogo cable.
To use it, connect the pogo cable to the three yellow ports on X-Prog3 (DB26 connector).
Carefully follow the connection reference images to ensure proper alignment.

When the probe is held on the designated boot point while powering the instrument cluster, the unit enters service mode, enabling immobilizer data access.
Once the data was successfully read, the new key was programmed without issue by switching the ignition ON and using the “Dealer Key” function.
Important Reminder:
Handle pogo pins with care. Incorrect contact may damage cluster data or interfere with functions such as the digital clock. Always verify the pin position and follow trusted procedures.
